· SSLV Launch Complex, Kulasekarapattinam

ISRO's second spaceport, for small satellite launch vehicles, was launched at Kulasekarapattinam in Thoothukudi district.

In 2013 Kulasekarapattinam in Thoothukudi district was identified as a possible site for a second Indian launch facility, and it was later chosen for the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) launch complex. The Tamil Nadu government acquired around 2,500 acres for the project. To mark the start of the project, ISRO launched an RH-200 Rohini sounding rocket from the site on 28 February 2024. Construction at the launch site began on 5 March 2025.
