India win the Asian Champions Trophy hockey in Chennai

India won a record fourth men's Asian Champions Trophy at home in Chennai, beating Malaysia 4-3 in the final.

Six teams contested the 2023 Men's Asian Champions Trophy, staged at Chennai's Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium between 3 and 12 August 2023. The city had previously hosted the 2007 Hockey Asia Cup. In the final the home side, India, overcame Malaysia 4-3 to claim the title for a record fourth time. The bronze went to Japan, who defeated defending champions South Korea.
