Night street race on the Chennai Formula Racing Circuit

A street circuit around Island Grounds in Chennai staged a round of the Indian Racing League alongside the F4 Indian Championship.

Organisers of the Indian Racing League, working with the state's sports authority, devised the Chennai Formula Racing Circuit as a street track close to the Island Grounds. Before it could be licensed, homologation problems forced sections of the layout to be re-profiled. On 31 August 2024 the circuit held round two of the Indian Racing League together with the F4 Indian Championship.
