Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus opens at Kilambakkam

To ease pressure on Koyambedu, a new long-distance bus terminus was opened at Kilambakkam on the southern fringe of Chennai.

Located on the Grand Southern Trunk Road, the Kilambakkam bus terminus was constructed to relieve crowding at the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus in Koyambedu. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin opened it on 30 December 2023 under its official name, the Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus. Services bound for the southern districts moved there.
