First Test match in Madras at Chepauk

Chepauk in Madras hosted its first Test match, between India and England.
The Chepauk ground in Madras, used for cricket since 1916, hosted its first Test match from 10 to 13 February 1934, when India played England during England's tour of India. Later the same year it hosted the first match of the inaugural Ranji Trophy. India recorded its first ever Test victory at the ground in 1952. The ground is now the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
