Madurai malli is a variety of jasmine grown in the south-central districts of Tamil Nadu around Madurai. It was declared a geographical indication in the 2012-13 registration year. It was the first flower from the state to receive the status. The jasmine is sold through the Madurai flower market and is also exported.
